Channel Advantage was delighted to welcome Dixons Retail PLC's product training manager Nathan Frost at The Retreat training facilities on Wednesday 28th September 2011.

Nathan came to give Channel and some of our leading Clients a better understanding of how to create and manage online content for the Dixons Product Learning Centre ("PLC"). Always a positive and energetic presenter, Nathan was well received by all and great progress was made on evolving the training material to meet store colleagues' needs.

Sonos Training in The Retreat

The Sonos Trainers were back at The Retreat on Wednesday 28th September to train the new wave of product demonstrators in time for their Peak Campaign in Comet stores.

Bursts of music could be heard as the new recruits learned about the fabulous Play 3 and Play 5 music systems in preparation for their in-store demo activities in the run up to, and over, Christmas.

We are currently looking to recruit a high calibre individual to join our existing Client Service team.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about technology and a strong communicator. Intermediate Microsoft skills are essential, and you should be comfortable learning and using new software. Organised, with high attention to detail, you will be able to work to deadlines and work effectively under pressure. You will display natural interpersonal skills and be comfortable engaging with a wide range of individuals.

Responsibilities will include supporting the Client Service Manager with client reporting requirements, field training sessions and day-to-day administration. The role will also involve direct communications with our field teams and assisting with the organisation of kit and equipment via third party suppliers.

Channel Advantage - Brand Ambassador Roles

If you are passionate about technology and would be excited about working with one of the world's leading technology brands, then we would like to hear from you! We are currently looking to recruit high calibre individuals to join us as brand ambassadors in the lead up to Christmas.

Required experience / skill set:

  1. Previous promoter/ brand ambassador/ trainer/ demonstrator/ sales experience.
  2. Experience must have been gained within the retail environment (consumer electronics retail experience desired).
  3. Passion for technology and able to understand technology with ease.
  4. Understanding of the sales process and customer buying patterns (training will also be provided).
  5. Organised and able to provide accurate, detailed reporting information for each day worked.

Package:

  • Successful candidates, who have proven success on this campaign, will be considered for future high profile work if available in their area.
  • A detailed and comprehensive Training programme (including Retail Partner selling skills/ accreditation where applicable) and on-going support will be provided.

Campaign availability:

  • All weekends from the 5th November up to and including the 8th January 2012 (hours are generally 9:30am – 6pm Saturday and store opening hours on Sunday (6 hour shift inc breaks).
  • Training is one day and sessions are being held on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd November.
  • Nationwide opportunities.

Music to Your Ears - Great Job Opportunities with Sonos

We're looking for the very best people with a passion for music to demonstrate and train store staff on the fabulous range of Sonos Music systems in selected John Lewis, Best Buy, Comet and Currys stores around the UK.

Depending on the store and location, it will at least be weekend work for 14 WEEKS. Plus, for some locations there are also weekday dates - either full weeks or Thurs/Fridays.

Commitment is vital and there is a completion bonus to accompany great rates of pay.

You will also need to attend a training date either 28th or 29th September or 16th November (depending on the store you are allocated). Please ensure you can be available.
